Why use a striker piston vibrator?
What is a pneumatic piston vibrator?
The pneumatic piston vibrator is a device designed to generate a unidirectional vibration: linear, it spreads in a single direction, as opposed to omnidirectional.
This vibratory behaviour makes the pneumatic piston vibrator an ideal solution for many industrial applications: flow of aggregates breaking bridges and chimneys, unclogging silo unclogging, container deagglomeration, tank de-bottlenecking, bulk and powder processing…
Pneumatic piston vibrators are used in a wide range of industries: pharmaceuticals, plastics, chemicals, food processing, pharmaceuticals, environment and recycling, construction…
Why choose a striker piston vibrator?
One of the advantages of pneumatic vibrators is their ability to control compressed air flow and pressure between 2 and 6 bars. A solenoid valve can be inserted in the compressed air circuit to vary the frequency and amplitude of vibration.
Linear vibrators consist of a cast-iron body and a cylinder and piston made of hardened, ground steel. We offer 2 types of pneumatic piston vibrators: the striker, VPP series, and the silencer, VPA series.
The VPP series pneumatic vibrator with striker piston strikes directly against the surface of the structure on which it is mounted, reproducing the repeated blows of a sledgehammer. The vibration of the VPA series silent pneumatic piston vibratoris generated by the movement of a piston on an air damper. It’s more like a rubber mallet.
Favoring one over the other is mainly a question of environment! Outdoors, prefer the pneumatic vibrator with striker piston: although noisier, it’s also more powerful, sturdier and more durable in the face of severe conditions. Indoors, choose a silent piston vibrator, which is more versatile and much quieter.
